Firebird G7392P-OR is a medium-sized folding knife that, thanks to its functionality, is perfect for use in the city, during a trip to the forest or trekking in the mountains.
The knife uses a drop-point blade with a length of 89 mm, which is a great compromise between functionality and comfort of everyday use. The used 440C stainless steel with a hardening of 57-58 HRC is resistant to corrosion, maintains the edge for a long time and sharpens easily and quickly. The smoothness and efficiency of cutting is ensured by a flat grind, finished with a strong tip facilitating penetration and precise cutting. At the base, the spine of the blade has been slightly raised and has transverse milling cutters on it, allowing for a stable support for the fingers while working. The blade is finished with the stonewash technique (an abrasive bath in gravel), which leaves an irregular texture on the steel, effectively masking scratches caused by using the knife.
The blade can be easily unfolded with one hand thanks to the double-sided pin. This solution means that the blade is immediately ready for action, and the knife can be conveniently used by right- and left-handed people. After unfolding, the blade is locked using the axis-lock, a reliable mechanism with high mechanical resistance, which, like the pin, can be operated with the left or right hand.
The handle plays an important role in the design of the knife, as the comfort and safety of use depend on it. Ganzo Firebird G7392P-OR uses cladding made of light and durable G10 laminate. The rough transverse texture of the handle makes the knife fit securely and comfortably even in wet or cold hands. A steel clip with the option to flip it to the other side and a hole for a rope emphasize the everyday nature of the tool.
